Socio Economic Development Organization (SEDO) is a Non-Profit Voluntary Organization working towards the development of marginalized section of society including affected by natural disasters in the prone areas of Assam with Dhemaji district as its focus, especially in rural areas. It is established on 9th February, 2002. It is currently operating several projects focusing on Children's Development outside the traditional schooling system, providing Mental Illness Treatment at a very low cost, addressing Maternal Health, promoting Health and Hygiene, particularly in Menstrual health, creating Awareness about the Importance of Nutrition, offering Livelihood support to the disaster affected community, fostering Micro Entrepreneurship Development, engaging in Disaster Mitigation initiatives and environmental consciousness.
A healthy and self-reliant society that is free of corruption and indignity.
Building the capacity of the marginalized section of society including those affected by natural disasters in the prone areas of Assam with Dhemaji district as its focus, especially in rural areas. It shall work towards rebuilding people’s lives through inclusive efforts in social and economic development, promoting gender equity and environmental consciousness.
